Privacy Policy

1. What Data We Collect

We collect personal data only when it is strictly necessary to provide our Services to you:

• Identity and Contact Data: name, email address, and phone number (if provided during account creation).
• Technical Data: IP address, browser type, and device information required for maintaining site security and analytics.
• Gameplay Data: how our games are played — for example, which levels are played most, which words take longer to solve, and where players most often lose. This is collected through Google Firebase Analytics to help us improve the games and is not linked to your name, email address or phone number.
• Community Data: puns and other content you submit, and Mukuta Money (our virtual reward currency) you earn through activity, gameplay milestones and contributions.

Our utility tools — the jewellery and land calculators — run entirely in your browser. The values you enter are used only on your device to perform the calculation and are never sent to or stored by us.

2. How We Use Your Data and Legal Basis (DPDP Act, 2023)

We process your personal data strictly on the following grounds recognized under Indian law:

• Consent: we process your data based on your clear, affirmative and verifiable consent, provided when you register for an account. You may withdraw this consent at any time (see “Your Rights as a Data Principal” below).
• Certain Legitimate Uses: we may process data without separate consent only where permitted by the DPDP Act — for example, to comply with a legal obligation or a court order, or to respond to a medical emergency.

We use the data we collect to create and secure your account, to provide and improve our games, tools and community features, to operate the Mukuta Money rewards programme, to respond to your requests, and to keep the Services safe.

3. Cookies and Analytics

We use only the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences such as your light or dark theme. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies on our website, and website usage is measured with privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics.

Our games use Google Firebase Analytics to understand gameplay, as described in Section 1. This helps us design better puzzles and is not used to serve advertising.

4. Children’s Data

We define a child as anyone under the age of 18. Children may use Jeuti only with the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian, as set out in our Terms of Service.

We do not knowingly collect a child’s personal data without such consent, and we do not serve targeted advertising to children. The gameplay analytics described in Section 1 collects non-personal information about how our games are played and is used only to improve the games — not to identify children or to advertise to them.

5. Data Storage, Security and Transfers

Your data is stored and processed by the service providers listed below. We implement appropriate administrative and technical safeguards to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss or breaches.

• Supabase — account authentication, database and storage;
• Vercel — website hosting and content delivery;
• Google Firebase — gameplay analytics for our games.

Some of these providers may store or process data on servers located outside India. Any such transfer is carried out in accordance with Section 16 of the DPDP Act, 2023, which permits transfers of personal data except to territories restricted by the Government of India.

6. Your Rights as a Data Principal

Under the DPDP Act, 2023, you hold the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to Access: you may request a summary of the personal data being processed by us.
• Right to Correction and Erasure: you can update incorrect data or request the permanent deletion of your data via your account dashboard (https://jeuti.in/account).
• Right to Withdraw Consent: you may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent may limit or disable your ability to use certain Jeuti Services.
• Right to Grievance Redressal: you may raise any complaint about how we handle your data with our Grievance Officer (see below).
• Right to Nominate: you may nominate another individual to exercise your data rights in the event of your death or incapacity.

7. Data Retention

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Services and maintain your account, or as required by law. When you delete your account, or withdraw consent where consent is the only basis for processing, we will delete or anonymise your personal data unless we are required to retain certain records by law.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify you on the Site or by email where appropriate. We will not reduce your rights under this Policy without giving you notice.
