1. Account Creation and Age Requirements

1.1 Age of Majority: Under the Indian Majority Act, 1875, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), you must be at least 18 years old to independently create an account. If you are under 18, you may only use Jeuti Services with the verifiable consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms.

1.2 Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

2. Platform Usage and Intermediary Guidelines

As an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000, Jeuti requires all users to comply with the following rules. You agree not to host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, store, update, or share any information that:

• belongs to another person and to which you do not have any right;
• is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, invasive of another’s privacy, insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, or encouraging money laundering or gambling;
• is harmful to a child;
• infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, or other proprietary rights;
• deceives or misleads the addressee about the origin of the message, or knowingly and intentionally communicates any information which is patently false or misleading in nature;
• contains software viruses or any other computer code designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer resource; or
• otherwise violates any law for the time being in force.

Jeuti may remove or disable access to any content that breaches these rules, and may suspend or terminate accounts that do so. Community submissions, such as puns posted to the Borah Pun Store, may be reviewed before they appear publicly.

3. Content Ownership and Licensing

3.1 Your Content: You retain ownership of any community content you post. However, by posting on Jeuti, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, revocable license to use, display, and distribute your content strictly for the purpose of operating and improving the Services.

3.2 Jeuti’s Property: All software, game mechanics (including our Assamese word games such as XobdoTola), algorithms, utility tools, and site designs are the exclusive intellectual property of Jeuti. You may not reverse engineer, copy, or monetize our Services without explicit permission.

4. Mukuta Money

Jeuti may offer Mukuta Money, our in-house virtual reward currency, for signing up, daily activity, gameplay milestones and approved community contributions. Mukuta Money is part of the Jeuti experience only: it has no monetary or cash value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for money, and may be adjusted, expired or removed in cases of error, abuse or violation of these Terms. The amount awarded for each activity is shown in the reward chart and may change at any time; we may also change or discontinue the rewards programme at any time.

5. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers

5.1 “As-Is” Provision: The Services, including the utility calculators, are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Jeuti makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy or reliability of the tools or content provided. The jewellery and land calculators give estimates for convenience only; you should independently verify any important figure — such as gold weight and value, or land area — before relying on it.

5.2 Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Jeuti shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, resulting from your use of the Services.

6. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and post the updated Terms on this page, and significant changes will be highlighted on the Site. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

7. Grievance Redressal Mechanism

In compliance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, Jeuti has appointed a Grievance Officer to address your concerns. We will acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Tezpur, Assam.
